Carleton’s Master of Engineering (MEng) in Engineering Practice (EP) is a full-time, course-based program designed to advance technical engineering knowledge and strengthen the professional skills needed to succeed in today’s engineering workforce. With a particular focus on internationally-trained engineers who completed their undergraduate studies outside the Canadian Accreditation System, EP builds on students’ prior academic experience while helping prepare them for professional engineering careers in Canada.
As one of the first and only programs of its kind in Canada, Engineering Practice is unique in its emphasis on employment-oriented skills within an engineering framework. The program combines advanced applied engineering coursework with complementary studies in areas such as project management, engineering communications, data analytics, climate change and sustainability, helping students develop both specialized technical expertise and practical professional skills. |
